Become a Citizen Scientist

Get involved in our monitoring program at our Spring Plains Watershed Repair Pilot Project

Our Citizen Science activities are the backbone to our cutting-edge Spring Plains Watershed Repair Pilot Project and offer a key way to get your hands earthy in helping to climate proof our lands.

The aim of Citizen Science is to increase community involvement in our work and support our ongoing monitoring program now that on-the-ground works have been completed at this pilot project. People of all ages can participate, offering a fantastic opportunity to learn about the ecology of this goldfields landscape and the innovative work that has been done to restore the hydrology to this degraded forest.

Citizen Science can include activities like: monitoring of reptiles, kangaroos, pollinators, small mammals (spotlighting and nest-boxes), native vegetation and birds, as well as seed collection and direct seeding.

Coming up in June is a Working Bee to fix and maintain ponding (designed to catch water during high rainfall periods and slow down the flow of water) and plant native plants at the pilot project site. Sound intriguing? Make sure to register below.
