Our milestone Heathcote Community Day

Celebrating our Heathcote Local to Landscape initiative to repair the forests, woodlands and waterways in the region

On a crystal clear autumnal day, Biolinks Alliance supporters and community members gathered to celebrate the community-driven and created Heathcote Local to Landscape initiative with a tour of one of our pilot projects, the Spring Plains Watershed Repair.

Our Heathcote Community Day offered a vital opportunity for local community members to gather around the Heathcote Local to Landscape initiative and build momentum to drive it forward. A Walk and Talk through our Spring Plains Watershed Repair Pilot Project, offered inspiration for what can be achieved with scientifically-backed and innovative interventions.

Attendees chatted over lunch with the people who have been part of this pilot project for the last few years to learn about the next steps for the community in the Heathcote Local to Landscape initiative. It marked a significant milestone and step forward in our shared vision for the Heathcote region, and we look forward to working together to continue to build a more climate resilient future.

Psst... what to learn more! Contact us and we'll pass on your details to the local community members who have significant plans for restoring the local waterways. There are many opportunities to get involved with our Large Old Trees and Spring Plains Watershed Repair Pilot Projects too.
