Why attend Climate Proofing Our Forests From The Ground Up webinar?
Spring Plains Watershed Repair is a first of its kind in Victoria pilot project that offers a beacon of hope and demonstrates what can be achieved through a strategic combination of ecological interventions. Once spanning more than 3 million hectares in Victoria - less than 1% of Box-Ironbark forests remain undamaged, and these critical habitats urgently require intervention to withstand the challenges of climate change.
At this webinar, hear from Dr. Chris Pocknee, Biolinks Alliance Ecologist, and Cameron O'Mara, the Project Facilitator, as they share their intimate knowledge and experience delivering the various stages of this pilot, from the 3 year approval process, to the innovative on-ground works, and the current monitoring, as well as the vision for this pilot over the next 10 years.
Not to be missed! Discover at this webinar how this pilot paves the way for a new approach to building climate resilience and restoring biodiversity in Goldfields landscapes at scale and speed, and how Biolinks Alliance is looking to share and help adapt it for use in other landscapes across the region.
