In this month's webinar, learn about the diversity and ecology of one of our most misunderstood and important groups of species, and the critical roles they play throughout Central Victoria.

You'll be introduced to the amazing world of bats, including their evolutionary history, biology and ecology. Bats are an often forgotten, sometimes controversial, but incredibly important part of the Victorian ecology – so come along and get to know the these incredible locals. Kids encouraged to join too – they always have the best questions!

We're excited to welcome Associate Professor Lisa Godinho from the School of BioSciences at The University of Melbourne as our special guest presenter for this Webinar. Lisa spent her research career with insectivorous bats trying to understand how we can conserve these important animals in our fragmented and urbanised landscapes.

She now leads education programs in the Faculty of Science with a particular focus on the success of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. Lisa has also been part of the Biolinks efforts to connect and regenerate Box Ironbark with her family’s conservation property in Tooborac (Taungurung Country).
