Wombat Forestcare is a community group dedicated to protecting and enhancing the natural ecosystems of the Wombat Forest and surrounding areas.
We rely on volunteers to co-ordinate and participate in our projects.
Wombat Forestcare has motion-sensing camera, spotlighting for Greater Gliders and owl breeding sites projects in the Wombat State Forest.
Motion-sensing Camera Projects have established new records for Brush-tailed Phascogales, Eastern Pygmy Possums and Spotted Quail-thrushes.
The Spotlighting Project has recorded nearly 300 new sightings of Greater Gliders
The Owl Project has documented four Powerful Owl breeding sites and one Barking Owl breeding site.
