Local students bringing life back to Snipes Creek
Greenhill to Blackhill Biolink pilot project
“This is the best day ever” … And - that’s the best quote ever, from one of Kyneton Primary School’s Sustainability Group students during a recent planting day at our Snipes Creek Rehabilitation pilot project, which falls within the Greenhill to Black Hill Biolink.
Continuing our partnership with the school, we revisited the site approximately a year later and added additional supplementary riparian plantings, augmenting the works that had already taken place.
The aquatic plantings also made it into the creek, after being held over because of last year’s flooding.
Daniel Young, and his team from Trec Land Services, were troopers working in the creek in the chilly weather.
The students visit was made possible with support from the Earthwatch, Kids Teaching Kids Bush Blitz program.
