July Stakeholder Workshop
Central Victorian Biolinks held a stakeholder workshop in Bendigo in late July to bring together the work that had been done through the project's recent scoping phase - and test whether the ideas generated for the project were on track. The workshop was well supported with 13 groups and networks participating on the day. A draft vision, mission and outcomes and proposed governance structure were agreed upon. Also decided upon were priority projects for the initiative - and they were:
- To build a learning network in which lesson's learned by all players could be easily shared
- To develop the knowledge base to help build a regional context for groups to set their own conservation and sustainability priorities taking into account existing assets, regional-scale ecological processes and threats (such as project climate changes)
