Biolink planning
Alliance member group Project Platypus is looking to reestablish functional connectivity between Grampians and the Pyrenees Ranges. They saw Central Victorian Biolinks, with its landscape-scale and partnership-building focus, as being well placed to facilitate the development of a ten year strategic plan to help guide the project. The project is pending the success of a Biodiversity Fund bid. If successful CVB will (1) take a partnerships approach to build on existing efforts and knowledge (2) ensure that knowledge of key landscape-scale threats and strategies to deal with those threats, that are not adequately addressed by existing plans and knowledge-bases, are brought into the planning process (3) ensure that the landcare community were involved in value and target setting from the beginning (4) share the process across the whole CVB network for other groups to also benefit and learn from it.
