Explore topics challenging conventions with our experts
Biolinks Alliance 2024 Monthly Webinar Series
Renowned for our high-quality, thought-provoking events, we are excited to launch our 2024 Monthly Webinar Series.
This webinar series is set to explore topics that challenge conventions on conservation issues facing Central Victoria and beyond, and aims to educate and mobilise people to take action for our environment.
Put it in your diary! The first webinar in our webinar series - Secrets of the Wombat Forest - will take place on International Day of Forests on 21 March from 6pm.
Hear from astute nature lover and indefatigable champion for the Wombat Forest, Gayle Osborne, a founding member of Wombat Forestcare and former Biolinks Alliance Board Member, about why the forest is special to her and so many others. Local expert, John Walter, from Malmsbury Landcare will also share some results from a wide range of biodiversity surveys in the forest about the existing populations of threatened species such as Greater Gliders and Brush-Tailed Phascogales. Plus - learn from research scientists who have been studying a recently-discovered population of the Endangered Mountain Skink in the Wombat Forest, including how the genetics of this isolated population compare with other known populations of the species.
An invitation to this event will arrive in your inbox in early March, but in the meantime, please contact us with any questions.
